there's far too much missing now--I feel like a suit with an empty trust account who used to have it all. I used to it all; now it's all gone.

I open up my eyes and now i'm back to bed, but when I sleep you're all I dream; should I stay awake instead?
And you'd think by now I'd know how to come bouncing back.
And you'd think I'd know that sometimes there ain't no need to react when it's gone--regardless of what I want.
Some things can't last and sometimes we can't hold on, but that don't mean we ain't strong.

So tell me what do we do now?
Build it up so we can just knock it right back down?
It's too late to go back and it's too late to stay, but could we have found the answer without the mistake?

But since it's gone I can't pay it too much thought. I know now what I want and when I find that, I'm gonna FIGHT LIKE HELL to hold on.
